In the KECHRIS vineyards in Goumenissa, the mild winter conditions in combination with the unusually high temperatures in April favored a very fast development of the vines. However, in May, June and July the weather was particularly unstable, with frequent storms, wide temperature variations and strong south winds.

TEAR OF THE PINE, the flagship retsina of KECHRIS winery, and the only wine of its category with a long aging potential, made from 100% Assyrtiko, was judged as the best Greek white of the recent International Wine Challenge Competition.

On Saturday, the 19th of May, an interdisciplinary symposium for retsina was held and organized by KECHRIS winery at the premises of the company in Kalochori, Thessaloniki.
